IACLEA President Paul V. Verrecchia asked me to share with the membership two new resources that offer recommendations and guidance to law enforcement agencies in responding to First Amendment-Protected Events. These resources were produced by the U.S. Departments of Justice and Homeland Security. We thank Jeff Allison of the FBI Office of Law Enforcement Coordination and Douglas Bodrero, President of the Institute for Intergovernmental Research, for bringing these resources to our attention.

A recent audit of our Health Safety department - called Workplace Safety and Environmental Protection - recommended that only WSEP us the word "Safety" in there name. Our current name is Department of Campus Safety. Has anyone gone through this issue - in Saskatchewan (Canada) we cannot use the name Police.
