I have significant tenure as chair of government relations work on behalf of an international professional association at the federal level. I am a veteran of the United States Coast Guard (Maritime Law Enforcement) a Certified Protection Profession (CPP) by the American Society of Industrial Security, and a graduate of the Mass. State Police Academy Campus Police Basic Training Course. I have completed the Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (LEEDS) sponsored by the FBI, and attended numerous conferences and workshops sponsored by multiple state and private entities. I have held certification as an emergency medical technician basic and paramedic levels. I have instructed in several police academies and professional development sessions or conferences. I teach a sociology course at McDaniel College entitled "Practical Applications of Law Enforcement" which I authored.
