When a crisis elevates itself to the front page of the "Drudge Report" the organization should know it has a crisis on its hands! So far, however, the handling of this crisis defies many of the basic principles and certainly shows little strategic front-end planning. We will let this crisis play itself out over the next few days and then provide you a plus-delta analysis. The ultimate outcome and how the FAU decides to handle this will have a significant long term effect on the university.
FAU PROFESSOR IN "JESUS STOMPING" INCIDENT PLACED ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE
BOCA RATON (CBS4) – The professor embroiled in a educational firestorm over his classroom practices has been placed on administrative leave.
Officials at Florida Atlantic University announced the move against Dr. Deandre Poole after receiving a complaint from student Ryan Rotella, who claims he was unfairly suspended from class for not writing the word ”Jesus” on a piece of paper and stomping on it as part of a classexercise.
The schools said removing Dr. Poole from the classroom was “for safety reasons” after the incident garnered a lot of media attention.
