Bio

Adrian J. Wiggins is the Director of Campus Public Safety at Stockton University. Prior to Stockton University, Wiggins  worked at Morgan as their Executive Director of Campus Public Safety from August 2012 through June of 2018 where he led the University’s safety, security, emergency management, and law enforcement programs. Prior to working as Morgan's Executive Director of Campus Public Safety, he served as the Chief of Police at Morgan from October of 2005 through August of  2012.  He was a member of International Association of Collegiate Law Enforcement Administrators, Historically Black Colleges and Universities Law Enforcement Executives, and the  National Association of Black Law Enforcement Executives.

Prior to his position at Morgan State, Director Wiggins spent 11 years with the City University of New York Public Safety department, ascending through the sworn ranks to Deputy Director of Public Safety at the Borough of Manhattan Community College in New York City. During his tenure at The City University of New York, Chief Wiggins was a member of the University’s Special Assistance for Events Team, a special team trained to respond to emergencies throughout the university’s 23 campuses. He has served on campus committees for work place violence and threat assessment. During His many in campus law enforcement, Exec. Director Wiggins has supervised countless special events, concerts and managed an assortment of emergencies. Exec. Director Wiggins also worked in the private sector as a per diem security supervisor at Radio City Music Hall and performed many dignitary protection escorts in New York City. In 2012, Wiggins was appointed as the Executive Director of Campus and Public Safety. As the Chief Public Safety Officer at Morgan State University, he manages safety services such as police and security, health and safety, community safety, and emergency management.

Wiggins holds a Master of Science Degree in Integrated Homeland Security Management from Towson University and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Security Assessment and Management from Towson University.

Director Wiggins has helped many agencies, with security assessments and the development of loss prevention programs. He speaks to local church and community youth groups about crime, drugs and gang violence.
